Reese's Chewy Chocolate Cookies

These are one of Julie's favorites.


1-1/4 cups butter or margarine, softened
3/4  cup cocoa
2  cups sugar
1  tsp. baking soda
2  eggs
1/2  tsp. salt
2   tsp. vanilla
2   cups peanut butter chips
2  cups flour


Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt, blend into creamed mixture. Stir in chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 9 minutes. Do not overbake; cookies will be soft. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooling. Cool slightly; re
move from sheet. Makes 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
