Pecan Pie

Mom's pecan pies are a family favorite during the holidays.


1  9-inch pie shell
3  eggs
2/3  cup sugar
1/2  tsp. salt
1/3  cup butter, melted
1  cup dark corn syrup
1  cup pecan halves


Beat together eggs, sugar, salt, butter and corn syrup. Mix in pecans. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes, or until set and pastry is nicely browned. Cool. Serve cold or slightly warm.
