Granola

This version has less fat than the store brands.


7  cups oats
1/2  cup sunflower seeds (raw)
1/2  cup sliced almonds
1/2  cup oil
1/2  cup Karo

Optional:
1/2  cup coconut
1/2  cup bran
1/4  cup wheat germ
1  tsp. cinnamon


Combine oats, sunflower seeds and almonds. Stir in oil then karo. Stir in any optional ingredients. Spread out on cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick spray. Toast at 325-350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutres. Turn every 10 minutes until the last 15 minutes then turn every 5 minutes.
