Glazed Mint-Frosted Brownies
These are very good and impressive! Michelle likes them for the rich chocolate flavor.
1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup nuts
MINT FROSTING:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. soft butter
1 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
2 Tbsp. butter
2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
Mix butter, sugar, vanilla, eggs and chocolate till blended. Stir in nuts and flour. Bake in a 8x8x2-inch pan for 25 min. or till top is firm. Cool. Combine ingredients for frosting and beat till smooth. Spread over brownies; let stand till set. Combine ingredients for glaze and stir to melt over low heat until smooth. Pour glaze over frosting and spread thin even layer. Chill till firm. Bring to room temp before cutting.
