Deep Dish Pizza
From Mo's kitchen.
1 lb. ground beef
16 oz. can whole tomatoes, drained
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 green pepper in strips
Dough (recipe follows)
1 Tbsp. instant onion
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
4 oz. can mushrooms
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Cook beef until brown; drain. Make dough. Mix tomatoes, onion, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Break up tomatoes. Press dough into bottom and half way up sides of 13x9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle ground beef over dough. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp. salt. Spoon sauce over meat. Top with green pepper, mushrooms and cheese. Bake at 425 degrees until cheese is golden, about 20-25 minutes.
Dissolve yeast in water. Stir in remaining ingredients. Beat vigorously 20 strokes. Let rest 5 minutes.
