Chocolate Pixies
Michelle remembers Mom baking these with the girls while Mabel cleaned our house.
2 cups flour
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 tsp. baking powder
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Blend in sugar and eggs, one at a time. Beat 1 minute. Add nuts and dry ingredients. Mix well; chill 15 minutes. Shape into balls and roll into powdered sugar. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
