Chocolate Pecan Pie
This pecan pie from Michelle is for the chocolate lovers in the family.
1 9" pie crust, unbaked
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-1/2 cups chopped pecans
3 eggs
12 pecan halves
1/8 tsp. salt
Over hot water, melt 1 cup chocolate chips. Remove from heat and cool. In a small bowl, combine eggs and salt; beat at high speed until very thick and lemon-colored (about 5 minutes). Gradually beat in brown sugar and melted chocolate. Stir in chopped pecans and remaining 1 cup chocolate chips; pour into unbaked pie crust. Decorate top with pecan halves. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
