Brownies
Michelle has made many batches of these chewy brownies. The recipe is from Marcia Strand.
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts
Melt chocolate and margarine and set aside to cool. Beat together. eggs and salt until light. Add sugar gradually and continue to beat until light and creamy. Fold in melted mixture and 1 tsp. vanilla. Sift flour and add; beat until smooth. Fold in nuts. Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 325 for 30
minutes. Michelle used to make these with toasted wheat germ instead of nuts.
